The BIP is not manned everyday depending on whether consignments are expected. Importer/agent should be informed that there may be a delay before the consignment can be examined.

The BIP staff will notify the TSO by fax of their requirements of POAO consignments per examination.

Additional charges for veterinary checks will apply if clearance is requested between 1800hrs and 0800hrs Monday to Friday or at any time on a Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday. Full details of charges for veterinary checks are shown in UDC Charges.
