Summary of procedures – products of animal origin

1. Flight arrives
2. Agent enters details onto TRACES
3. TSO/Agent transfers consignment to BIP
4. Health Certificates etc. documents lodged with BIP
5. BIP inspect consignment and pass/fail for entry
6. BIP completes CVED on Traces as appropriate
7. HMRC release given for pass consignments
8. Rejected consignments receive Regulation 21 Notice 
9. If pass, importer/agent collects consignment from TSO
10. If fail, BIP arranges for destruction or re-export
